. You could maybe go to the crow indian reservation and they'd sell you an elk hunt for $5 or $10 thousand. You'reabout as far from general tag elk as you can be in MT. If you had known you could have least put in for some permits and increased you chance to hunt elk by about 1-10%
. You're partners may need some talking too if they led you to believe Elk hunting would be possible based out of Olive. IF you tag out on deer early you can always chase some birds around there or go to the bighorn river and fish.Best of luck in whatever you try.
