Brother, you're preachin' to the choir. The problem is there are those so ignorant as to believe the mere
presence of a gun invites criminality. The more intelligent variety of these cowardly types fears in you what they believe themselves capable of. The normal, everyday 'garden variety' lefty skunk believes what he sees on TV media news outlets and thinks it's 100% true regarding everything about firearms. In either case, not a pretty picture, considering what I believe the 'average everyday lefty' believes in his heart to be true. The amazing thing about this is that no quotation of fact and no presentation of statistical data to the contrary will educate these types as to either the utility of firearms ownership, or the unalienable nature of the right to self-defense. What pukes.

Forest Gump said it best--"Stupid is as stupid does." A gun does not commit crimes and often saves lives. A gun can only be used to commit a crime when a criminal picks it up and uses it illegally.
If every law abiding citizen was allowed to carry, there was a uniform Grand Jury process in all 50 states (and especially in the east coast communist bastion called Washington DC) that was conducted by knowledgeable gun types to determine if a shooting was justified or not and the courts were not allowed to screw the system up, we would see a huge reduction in crime, a reduction in criminals going to jail (they would either be dead or go straight) and there would be absolutely NO WAY another American airliner would ever be hijacked.
The one single thing most criminals are scared to death of is getting shot by their victims. Criminals are scumbags and oft times aren't too bright but they aren't that stupid. They know enough to stay away from a victim who will shoot them.
