Technically, the Model 88 is just fine. However, IMO it is on the large/heavy side for a .308-sized round. The Browning BLR performsjust as well, and is much easier to carry and handle when hunting.

That said, I'm sorry Winchester discontinued it, and the same goes for the SAKO Finnwolf.
