oops. What I meant to say was start out with the IMR 4350 OR H4831 as Hunter5325 has said. I worked up those loads from a starting point of 51.0 grns of IMR 4350. I havent tried the H4831, but the IMR 4350 shoots very good in MY Savage 110.You neverknow what yourrifle will like. Try both of them, and see what shoots best. According to my Loadbooks USA for the .270 with a Barnes 130 gr XBT with IMR 4350 starting load is 51.0 Max loadis 55.0. So 53.5 is well within safe limits. With the same bullet using H4831 starting load is 56.0 Max is 60.0. Sorry for any confusion.
