Buddy on deer you (or them) will never know the difference.

My brother has used a 7mm-08 since the early 80s has killed better than a hundred whitetails with and a black bear, all with 140gr CoreLokts...

If you have 2 guns in a rack and like the fit and finish on one verses the other, or one just feels better because they are different models, etc.
That's the one I'd choose....

I like a walnut stocked gun, I have handled a Remington CDL in 7mm-08, its one of the best balanced bolt actions that I have ever picked up...If you are ordering, I'd go with a 7mm-08, simply because there should be slightly less recoil, shoots just a tad flatter and I know I can bum shells off my brother, if need be....
