Congrats zmax , and make sure you post a picture of you and the bird and the measurements. We are very close to winning this thing. This bird will put us a little shy, but if someone who hasn't scored yet kills one, that would put us in the lead. I know time is just about out though.

Bird was killed in Ks, shotgun,40y,.3.5" 2oz of #5 winchester long beard xr,.
This Tom has eluded many this yr, he refused to go to any decoys,.would not venture far from his hens, didnt bother to come to a fan,..he would see the fan and go hide,..he would walk back out 15min later,..look at the fan,..staring,..then go hide,..lol

Ive watched him enough,..his morning routine was similar to a paper route,..about 830,..he would go to nearly the center of a section,..where he had a hill side pasture to roam ,..all the other birds would be spread out,..if one boogered,..they all would go on alert..coyotes, cattle, etc would alter that routine from time to time. It was a pure ambush from 40y,.with no dekes or calling.
I sat down about 510a,..watched them fly down,..and waited,..sometimes napping,.for just 3hrs,..there were 2 hens and 10 jakes with him. Lots of eyes

zmax, can you post the measurements here for your bird? I need them for the score thread.

Thanks zmax. We are only 7.315 points behind team 2. We were so close. I'm assuming everyone is probably finished hunting. Is anyone still hunting? I guess June 1 is the last day for some northern states.
