I wish I had your alarm clock. No sweeter sound than a wild turkey gobble IMO.

they have been gobbling almost every AM 3 weeks leading up to season... I just keep the windows open and wake up happy every day! Best sound ever.
That big boy is gonna get it sometime soon.
I have shot quite a few birds over the years up on the hill behind my house. The only problem is that the birds are very visible when down in the yards and everyone sneaks in on small pieces abutting the 30 acres I control... the abutting land owner has a blind abutting the posted signed I have up...

That's the only bad thing about turkey hunting. They just can't keep their mouths shut, so everyone knows where they are. You often have many hunters chasing the same bird. This is why private land birds can be just as tough as public land birds sometimes. Of course if you have thousands of acres you probably won't have this problem, unless poachers come in.

Default grandpas' closet

Good news, went to Goodwill today and got a very early Cabelas camo jacket and a very early Mossy Oak camo long sleeve shirt, one of those with the embroidered tags ''made in USA''. Not faded at all. Bad news they were XL and I'm a 2X guy. They fit my son perfectly. Wish somebody's grandpa was bigger.

Good job to everyone getting birds. I haven't been able to get out unfortunately.

Great job all!

My son and I hit the Michigan woods on Monday, we have tags for the late season (May 2-31). Have been seeing big toms strutting a few fields over from our house, hoping my calling will entice them to enjoy the Hevi-shot Triple Beard from my son's 20ga.
