I'm testing some waters here thinking of trying to come up with some type of hunting contest. Entertaining the thought of grand prize of the contest being an all expense paid hunting trip (I was thinking of a Canadian whitetail hunt, and possibly for 2 so the winner and a buddy or spouse could go). Was also thinking of doing several other smaller prizes. I just wanted to get some opinions of what some of you guys dream hunts would be and also if anyone would participate in a hunting contest that had an entry fee. Also anyone's thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hunting contests, in my opinion, fail to show the sport in an honorable way. Personally I want no part of one. But that's just me and I don't expect other to feel the same way.

I wish yall success and awesome memories but I'm afraid the contest wouldn't be for me , I still hunt obsessively but have been blessed with a record buck and other trophy memories and I pass on bucks most people would harvest . Wish the best and look forward to reading and seeing pics . Just older and competing against myself. I have seen my monster buck 3 times this year and last time he was hot on a doe and I had an excellent shot , he's still alive , I let him breed her and hoped for a fourth but it wasn't meant to be, I've only seen him twice since then and both times were after hours,might try to rattle him out earlier.
