I feel for you all out east and north.....April 21st seems too far off for me and you are later I think. I want to jump in the truck and head south so bad....work and coaching soccer (suckered in) has me tied up some. Lucky that work is 24 hr shifts. The other thing is we are selling our house, so I have a honey do list from here to the east coast!

The last birds stats are 21lbs. 1in spurs, 8in beard. I shot another one today and rolled him at 30yds with the shotgun and he got up and ran off like nothing happened.

Congrats on a great season so far jjones. Too bad about your last. Some of these birds are just bullet proof.

Its raining so much here now, its a good thing the season doesn't start for another month. Hopefully things will dry out some by then.

Got to like 75 degrees here in Central Iowa. whats up with that? and it supposed to get to almost 80 today. Hopefully it cools a little before next weekend. but get this, we have a chance of getting up to 4 inches of snow on monday. Crazy weather hah

Crazy weather is right. I can't even get to where I hunt because of flooding. I spent a good part of yesterday bailing out my basement. Got to do it again this morning. Luckily I only had a few inches of water, a lot of people here were seriously flooded out. We got more rain in one day than we typically get during the whole month of March.
