Since we got the Emmies, and we got the Golden Globes, and we got the Whammies - maybe it is time to hand out our own HNI awards.

I bring you the Butterballs! All nominations accepted.

Hey firelt72,

Don't get on JW! to hard, he was here in GA. hunting with me. Had he planned his trip one week later his blind would have been under 5 feet of water because of our river flooding.

He got 2 birds while here, and had he not gone to sleep both times I doubt he would have gotten one with all those silly sounds he was making. Sounded like some body was choking a Bluejay.

The first bird he got, he woke up and it was standing in front of him.
The second bird, he worked from daylight till noon, he also went to sleep on this one. Be easy on him, he has gotten old, and a nap is what keeps him going.

It is the attention span as Dog1 has so pertaintly put it......way to short of attention span......

And he didn't tell you of the bird I pulled had drumming but never saw him..........that was an awesome hunt.....

Sitting in dogs truck as it was pouring rain (not a problem for me) thundering and lightning (big Problem for me - don't look good with an Afro) at Oh dark thirty in the morning......But when the light show stopped and the thunder became distant I took off.

Dog asks - "where ya going? - To my blind I respond - why it is still raining - Ya I know but as soon as this rain stops - and I don't hear much raindrops off the trees - I wanna be there......It ought to be awesome hunt!

And it was - I touched that first call and not more than 40 yds behind in the trees he lit up with gobbles and I was right int he middle of them......I never made a sound or a call or nothing for better than 2 hrs while it rained. But when it stopped - it was awesome...

Thanks dog1 - I still dream of that hunt.

Now I will go back to my nap.....
