Well I had an awesome day in the stand on Nov 3rd. Unfortunately, it all happened downwind. I was barely in stand and a spike buck started creeping by. Out of nowhere, an 8 pt chased him off and then sprinted back to where he came from and bedded down. I told myself he obviously has a doe so this could get good. And it did. At about 3:45 mature bucks started cruising in from all over the place. I saw 5-6 bucks that were 130 or better. However, they all were down wind and the closest one came was 30 yards but I never had a shot. To cap it all off, right before dark the doe finally emerged and the 8 point bred her 20 yards from me. I had a shot at him, but he wasn't quite old enough. Good night.
ive been working a ton now and have no time to hunt. some jagbag killed a huge 10 tonight real close to where i hunt so im pretty ticked since he just showed up witha firend. but oh well i guess ill try tomorrow morn on my day off from work and school
