We had an awesome season with no kills!! It was tough going with the corn still in the fields. Some got picked the first couple weeks of Dec. the rest is still there. The last weekend I could hunt was Jan. 9th. I'm pretty hardcore for a girls but -14 kept me out of a tree. That weekend, we did not see a deer....which is very rare for our farm. They were staying low and in the corn. On to coyote!!

Well, it's not a Deer but my Daughter scored her 1st kill Jan. 16th on a Buffalo hunt in Oklahoma we've had planned for over a year.
1 Arrow @ 25 yds. & the 3 Blade Rocky Mountain went through both lungs & ended in the center of the heart. Less than 60 yds away her near 1000# Cow Buff crashed to the ground. This was a great way to start 2010 for BOTH of us...

Well everyone-Snow keeps pling up & our deer are HUNGARY. I have 2 groups coming into my back yard, 1 Does & last springs fawns & another with some Bucks in it. Half the Bucks have shed. Yesterday I had 6 different Bucks with horns & the biggest looked like he weighed about 125#s. I saw him in Nov. & he had to be over 200#s. They come & clean up whatever the birds & Squirrells leave from my bird feeders.
More snow, still coming down. I'm running out of room where to put when I shovel...
I hope everyone has started their 2010 good & may you all have a great season this fall.
I have a Antelope DIY Bowhunt set up for Aug....Hope to get at least 1 hog trip to Ok. in also this summer if not more.
