We went out this afternoon just my dad and I. we had to run the geese out of the field there was probably 25-30000 in it. we would drive by them in the field and they would not get up there were some 40 yards from the truck just watching us drive by. we eventully got them out and we set up around 50 decoys. we ended up getting our 2 man limit of canadas and whitefronts plus a hen mallard.

Any body doing any good? we have been getting a few. we have finally started shooting big canada geese. We also had to go and get a new freezer to put out in our shed so we could put all of the meat out there. mom was not to happy when she saw how much space we were using.

Sunday we went out to a field that had about 10-15 thousand geese on it for the last couple days we ended up one goose short of a three man limit. this morning my dad and i went out and got our 2 man limit in short order. that was on public ground. this was the last weekend for ducks we did not ever go.

I went on my firs solo hunt of the year today. i took out a 160 decoys a half mile. I only got a ross and a Blue. The ross i got landed in the decoys and when he go up i got up as well and realized that he was flying right at me. so he finally saw me and flared alittle bit. i let him get out to around 15 yards so it thought and i shot him. when i picked him up he wasnt 15 yards away he was about 15 feet and his head was completely gone. i only found two parts to his head. i also got my first blue ever so i was pretty excited.
