Than the five spot?? i finally got around to shooting the vegas faces and personally i like it better than the five spot. It seemed like my first three or four shots on the five spot were my best and then i would bomb the fith shot, with the vegas it seems like i relax a little better
I shoot the vegas face better. Probably because I've got more experience with it, I barely shoot 5 spot at all. I think I only had like less than 10 different 5 spot games under my belt before last years HNI league.
I was shooting today and did a little change for the better i think when im done hunting i take off all pins except the 20 yrd for league. I had my green for the 20 but switched to red today, it seems to show up better up against the yellow 10 spot. anyone prefer a certain color of pin for this?? It's cause you have trouble counting higher than 3. BAM!

They don't make black fiber for that, but get yourself an extra pin, and then dip the end inblack paint with no fiber in the pin. White would probably work well too.
Also, the bigger that pin the better. When you look at the guys that are successful on the national level in bowhunter freestyle (hunting pins setup) they are using a very large diameter pin, usually .039 or so.
I know one thing...I think it's so much easier to shoot the vegas face with no pin at all...Just centering the yellow in the center ring on my scope makes it much easier for me to shoot than covering up the target.
