very nice buck leland. congrats! gun season really sucked here. I'm still trying to stick a good one. I was 2 steps from poking a 150 class 10-12 pointer yesterday. Got downwind and wouldn't budge til he slunked off after a couple of minutes. uhhg. Typical luck for the way my season has been thus far. It surely has to get better,

My hunting season is over. I shot 3 doe this weekend with the smoke pole. There are still a ton of deer around and some nice bucks so next year should be fun. good luck to all!

Well fellas, today was my last day. we got about 6 inches of snow in the mountains last night, so I set out this morning to try and cut some track. Got up to about 3000 feet and started walking some skid roads. I set up on a little ridge and gave a couple bleats from my can. Didn't know it, but called in a buck and he winded me at about 40 yards. Nice buck, but he was gone. And that's that. Time to start shooting ducks. Good luck to those who are still hunting.
