The contest had kind of a down year this year. Look at the biggest buck this year. I was expecting something over 200"
Yeah! It was a real disappointment! [:-]
Well hell Matt, you hunt in TN, why didn't you kill a 200" ?

Great buck GregH.

Guys, I didn't mean it like that and you know it [8D].

I'm not taking ANYTHING away from Greg's buck. It was phenomenal.

I'm just stating, look in years past. This year was out of the trend.

Just pulling your chain, man.

You're right though.......... while a 170s buck is a great buck, especially for a typical, I was also expecting something bigger to show up. Usually, in a contest like this a non-typical should usually win top spot. It goes to show how rare they are.

With almost 500 people from all over the US and Canada entered into this contest, it proves my earlier thread, location included ..................

A 160s buck is a top end buck, after that the air starts to get thin.

We were definately down from last year.

It is interesting that the "rankings" of states is not closer in line to the national tally. I would have guessed more from Idaho, Minnesota, Texas, Kentucky, etc.

Congratulations Gregh, biggest buck out of 400ish contestants... that is a real accomplishment!!!
