I'm not sure about that, but I know that the contest doesn't cause me to change my goals. Anyone else?
It did for me....... After I signed up for the contest I thought about what I would and wouldn't shoot at (usually I shoot at what strikes my fancy at the time).Idecided that anything over 100in would get an arrow their way. If I hadn't been in the contest, there was areally really cool looking 10-point (probably 80-90in) that would have met his demise.

It's all fun for me and I usually don't have any "set goals" to begin with anyway so it waseasy for me to"adjust on the fly".

It's always interesting for me.......to see these "success" rates (being a rleatively new deer hunter). I feel like we're (HNI community) a little ahead of the curve vs. the typical bowhunting community.

This contest also doesn't change what I will or won't do int he field. I've never shot a deer I regretted taking, and I've never let the contest influence my decisions out there.

I want to congratulate everyone on doing it "their" way......whatever that might entail.

Good jobs, guys (and gals). Happy new Year.

I wonder how many guys passed on questionable bucks because of the contest?? Im sure most guys wouldnt change anything regardless of the contest or not, but do you think the contest possibly persuaded guys into letting a few bucks walk?
It may have "inspired" me to let a few smaller bucks walk!
