Those are some nice deer. I can see why Indiana is one of better places for whitetail!

OK, back from Colorado (pics up in the bowhunting forum if you wanna take a peek), and ready to focus on these Midwestern whitetails!!

The landowner called me today to chat a while, and he told me about another sweet little piece of property he's showed me before that he's got planted in corn on all sides... It's five or six acres of woods he said, with a few fencerows leading into it. I've just had so much good luck before on the main farm where I hunt that I'd neglected to really go check this other piece out.

After griping a bit about how many other hunters I saw last year on the public land bordering his farm, he brought this piece of land back to my attention. I'll definitely be going and looking it over again in the next week or so... with a stand or two in my Jeep. It only receives gun hunting pressure (two weekends a year) and isn't close to any other public land or neighboring lands receiving pressure.

Greg that's a great sounding piece. I've always said, hunt them like rabbits. If the area around has extreme pressure and with corn...that sounds like a winner.

Greg that sounds that a great place! I have some friends that take some nice bucks every year off of a track like that, they've seen as many as 9 differnent shooters going through 3-4 acres. Good Luck!

Greg, sorry to hear about the lost cow. When you are looking through such a small opening it's sohard to tell.
The pics were awesome.
I've got relatives in CO, and within the next year or two I am going to set up a trip up there. I have a buddy that rifle hunts on 5000 acres of private land there for a small trespass fee, got to try to convince him to hook me up with his contact.
