This is the first year that I have signed up for the contest.I am not a fan of contests because for some folks I believe it distorts where the emphasis should be.My participation is for fun and camraderie, nothing about the way I go about my hunting will change as a result of my participation.
My poll selections would be one and six.I look forward to it!

The contest makesthe hunting allthe better. I think it will give me a little added incentive to get out a day or a morning I may not.
I'm anxious to swap technique's with the team members. Learn something.
Hear about thier setups and what they look for in setting stand sites. I soak that stuff up.
Getting a respectable buck is the goal, of course. I'm due, just like mobo.

Personally, I would love to sign up for the contest just for the comoraderie, but I am not because I would most likely just be dead weight on my team. If I have not killed a deer with my bow, then I will get my gun come riffle season. I would rather do that and cut down the risk of not putting meat in the freezer. Plus, I have only seen one buck on my dad's property in the past two years that I have been hunting there (since we lost our lease we used to hunt). The chances of me adding inches to my teams score are close to zero. I don't want to be an achilles hill, so I will just leave the contest to you guys who have a decent chance of scoring a buck.

I've enjoyed the team and the original big buck contest every year. It adds some excitement to my season. I too will be lucky to put a buck down this year, but it's all about enjoying my season with you suckas.

Yeah right. The contest makes for a great time. Thanks HNI and Rob.

There were 2 anwers that fit me....1&6.

I am looking forward to my first season in the contest to have fun with the teamates and such. Also, I will be serious about scoring a good buck, but I do hunt with other weapons at times.
Exactly
