Well fellas, my season is over - Jan 1 is it for MI. I hunted hard for the past week but couldn't put a deal together. Not much has been moving around here. I saw a few does and yearlings and the last day of the season saw a small 6pt. but decided to let him grow up for next year. Oh well, I tried. Hope the rest of you are having a great late season.

Last weekend for me coming up. I'll only be able to do a Saturday morning hunt. Temps will start in the upper teens with light snow and sleet. You will hear from me again if it's a good day.

Well, the season is over for me and my wife still wonders why I go out and subject myself to the bitter cold days. The temps on Saturday were in the mid teens and I didn't see anything except for those playful squirrels. The walk back tomy vehiclewas not easy as the feeling didn't come back to my numb feet until I was about halfway back. I enjoyed every opportunity I had to get out and sit either by myself or with my two boys and I tried to take as much in last Saturday knowing it would be a while before I would be back out. I dreamed daily about that magnificent huge buck I saw in early November (it was love at first sight)and wonder if someone captured that guy. Maybe he will run into me next season. He's the reason for my season!
