Berwindaleboy, I appreciate the honesty and will tell you that I have fell victim to the same thing before. I went out this past weekend and cleared out most of my stands for the whitetail season here in Ohio. The weeds had grown up like a freaking jungle and I had to cut a 14-16" diameter tree down with a hand saw because of one branch that I couldn't get to any other way. Then, when the tree fell, it was suspended by one stupid little vine covering the entire shooting lane down the creek bed. So, I had to climb up another tree so I could stretch out with my limb trimmer, which is about 15 feet long, to get it while hanging on with one hand and about three toes. I made it out fine and got everything accomplished, but it was a ton of work and I hope it pays off with at least some good excitement this fall.

Well folks, my opening weekend went a little different than planned, but it wasnt a total bust. Due to my brain fart i missed a doe yesterday. had my site at the wrong setting. then tonight i got winded, but i was able to see a young bachlor group of bucks all work a community scrape on the edge of the field. the biggest was a 115" 2.5 year old, which i would not have shot anyway, but it was nice to see them. gonna try tomorow and hopefully i can slay a doe here soon.

I had a couple of does pass 40 yards behind me and three smaller bucks bed down about 80 yards out in front of me. Great first day in the stand. I just loved being out there.
Hey guys. I found this site where you can purchase photos from satelite views and here is where I am hunting. The three main thickets South, East and North are all great bedding areas. The three red dots are stands. The one in the middle is where I seen the biggest deer of my life last year. So far I have only seen some smaller bucks. Lots of does though. When the rut gets closer the big boys should start comming out into these areas.
Wheatley,
Did you try on yahoo maps beta? I have found that you can get closer pics, and you won't have that stuff written all over it. If you would like, give me an idea on where that location is and I will try to look it up to see if it is any better on yahoo.
