Good to hear from you mom! Keep at it.
I am taking tomorrow off from work and hunting both tomorrow and Sat. all day w/ the muzzleloader... Then it's over here.
I guess I can't complain.... Got the 8 and a doe w/ the bow, 6 point w/ rifle, and a large doe w/ the muzzleloader. I also lost that doe opening day and missed a spike!
Had lots of action....

Hey guys......looks like this will be my last weekend for this season. I just picked up my Hoyt Vectrix yesterday and hopefully it will bring me a little luck this weekend. I can't complain. We have plenty of meat in the freezer. I took a really nice 11 point and 2 does during the gun portion and a doe the first part of archery. I'm still looking for THAT buck. I've had a few opportunities at a buck.....they just weren't big enough. I've enjoyed this team and this contest and hopefully next year will be better.
Western MA Hunter, thanks for all of your efforts on behalf of our team and for keeping things going.
See you in the threads.

Mom,
Can you post a pic of your 11 on this thread for us? I'm sure I can speak for everyone on the team and we'd sure love to see it...bow or gun...
It's been a pleasure! Stick one this weekend!

Nope im done now since the Wisconsin bow season came to an end on Sunday. Next year im gonna be hunting in one of the best spots around my area. Hopefully one of you guys will be on my team again. I believe we have to have the bow in the picture with the deer right? Cause i shot a 4 pointer and never had my bow and already skinned the deer up. Oh well. Good luck for the rest of ya'z that are still hunting

I'm still going, took a doe last Sat & another yesterday. Shot over one fri night. I went back in the AM to wait for light to find my arrow & maybe a deer when a group came by at sunrise. I took the fattest one that offered a shot. Found fridays arrow clean as a whistle. I knew in my gut I shot over it but I'm shooting thru the mesh from a blind & in fading light cant see my arrow. In my experience thats the only downside to the mesh.
Its finally starting to feel like winter a little & the deer are coming out earlier in the evening & staying out later in the mornings.
2+ weeks left & I hope to get a couple more.
The spot I took yesterdays deer from is a new one to me, just set up the blind a little over a week ago & have seen deer almost every time I sat in it. I actually went back yesterday afternoon figureing I'd just read until it got dark, not expecting them to come back. Well just before 4:00 I had 2 button bucks feeding 20' away & 8 to 10 more deer back in the woods a bit. I left the little guys alone & snuck away. I figure its good for at least one more deer before they figure it out.
I havent uploaded yesterdays deer yet but this is last Saturdays.

Ok.....so this was actually my last week end to hunt. Got on my stand yesterday evening at 2:30....in the freezing rain. Had to cover my sights and top cam with my bow sling so they wouldn't get covered with ice. Saw 11 deer....none came in range. Got down at 5:15p.....had a long walk out of the woods, up hill all the way. Got my big boots caught on a downed limb, fell on my face, knocked the quiver off of my bow. Laid there and took inventory of body parts....every thing seemed ok so got up and kept walking. Had my green head lamp on but is was still really slick walking. Hubby was waiting for me when I got to the truck....it was half time..... so I had a warm truck to sit in while mine got de-iced. End of my season.
I don't know how to get pictures to post on the apple computer......I've tried and tried......I'll have to find a kid to show me. haha I had a good season.....just no buck with my bow. 3 does and an 11 point. Meat for the freezer and another one for the wall.
Thanks for having me guys.....I've enjoyed it.

It's been fun everyone! I certainly enjoyed this team.

I posted this pic on the bowhunting forum.... but here is the mount of the little 8 I shot this year w/ the bow... My brother in law did it for practice free of charge... I just had to pay the materials.
