RE: Savage Model 112 fvss .300 win mag.
Just a couple of questions about the rifle.....I am also looking at a long range rifle for the same reasons that you mentioned.
Looking at ballistics in the 30 cal range that you stated, the 300 ultra mag seems to be better than the 300 win mag. Why did you pick the win.?
Second is that you mentioned groups at 100 yards. Have you tried to shoot at further ranges to see how the rifle grouped?
Do you feel if you reloaded that you could tighten your grouping?
One more.....You chose the Leopold 6X20X50....I have also wondered about the actual gain in light transmittence and I think someone said it on this sight, it only calculates to be 2% more.....Is there a reason that you didn't go with the 8X25
