RE: Peak rut dates for Maryland
I definitely saw peak action last year during the week of Thanksgiving. It was too warm earlier that month. Of course the professionals were calling for an early rut. I know Photoperiodism is what dictates this phase but weather has to be a major variable.
If it's hot, I think they might just be getting it on at night. Otherwise, only the cooler temps (below 45 degrees F) will get the monsters running around carelessly during the daytime.
