Honey Garlic Pheasant

Cook Time: 50

Serving Size: 2

Ingredients

  • Garlic Powder
    Carrots
    Honey
    Potatoes

Instructions

  1. Split a pheasant or any game bird in half and lay cavity side down in a baking dish.
Peal and dice enough potatoes and carrots to fill the dish.
Coat the halves of the bird with honey and sprinkle with garlic powder.
    Add about 1 cup water.
Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes then turn the halves over and baste the inner cavity of the bird.
Bake another 20-30 minutes then remove from oven and let rest before serving.
Cooking time will differ with sizes of birds.
If a glazed skin is desired; turn the halves back over and broil a few minutes until the skin is glazed.

Notes

This may be done with pheasant, goose breast, quail, or a good old roasting chicken.
